The Calne Community Area has a population of 18,000 and over 85% of the population are employed within 15 miles of their home in micro, small and medium sized businesses - we have a large, active and diverse business community.

The Economic Theme Group is open to any individual or group that wishes to contribute to the development of the community area local economy and support the business community. Please contact us for further details on how to get involved.

The principle business group within the community area is the Calne Chamber of Commerce with an active membership of over 10% of all businesses within the community area. The Chamber is a membership organisation run by local business members for local businesses and those using local businesses.

The Economy Theme Group is very approachable and anxious to hear your suggestions of what we can do for you. If there is support that we or Chamber could provide that isn't listed here, please talk to us and we will try to encompass your suggestions. We are a self-help group that supports the local business community and anything that is reasonably within our remit will be actively considered.
